Local Priorities Violence against women and girls Update

I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Last November 2024 a female was assaulted in East Ham, E6. In February 2025, officers from Wall End Safer Neighbourhood Team identified and arrested this male, where he was subsequently charged for Sexual Assault and recently found guilty for this offence and sentenced.

 We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years.
